Welcome

\\\"preschool\\\"

Welcome to Striplin Terrace Christian Preschool! Our preschool has been in operation since 1979. We\\\’re looking forward to another year of growth and development and will be happy to have you and your child join us. Our preschool has earned an excellent reputation through the years, and many of you are familiar with our policies. Some of you have had children here before; others are new to Striplin Terrace Preschool. Whether you know a lot about us, or a little, we hope you\\\’ll find this website helpful. We\\\’ve tried to include the basic information about policies and practices. Should you have any questions, please call Miss Mary at 706-442-5502 or the church office at 706-561-0538.

Registration/Age/Times

REGISTRATION

Your child is registered upon our acceptance of a $40.00 registration fee accompanied by completed registration forms and shot records. We are required by the Georgia State Health Department to have your child\\\’s immunization record on file within the school. The registration fee covers insurance and enrollment expenses and is non-refundable.

AGE REQUIREMENT

The ages of our children range from 3 years to 5 years old. Children must be at least 3 years old and potty trained to enroll in our preschool program. It is important that your child is able to communicate wants and needs. We want your child to have a positive learning experience.

TIMES

Classes begin on the first Tuesday in September and meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 noon. All Muscogee County public school holidays and weather advisories will be observed.

Tuition

\\\"\\\"

Tuition is $125.00 per month, due by the 10th of each month. Please make checks payable to Striplin Terrace Preschool. Please take the tuition check to Connie Clary in the church office and she will give you a receipt. We prefer to have tuition paid by check. However, if you need to pay in cash, please make certain that you get a receipt. No deductions will be made for absences. As long as a place is held for your child, tuition will be charged. Two weeks notice must be given prior to withdrawing a child from school. Tuition for a child who withdraws will not be refunded.

Our Vision

Our children are our hope and promise for a better tomorrow. In a rapidly changing world, our children need the skills that will allow them to apply their knowledge to the problems of tomorrow. Simply learning facts and figures will not enable them to function well in the world in which they will live. Children need many and varied activities and experiences on which to base their understanding of concepts they will encounter throughout their lives. Students will be provided many opportunities to interact with and explore their environment, to manipulate objects and to observe the results of their actions. The opportunities will be experienced within a loving, secure, moral and ethical context. Some of the most important skills include the ability to share and take turns, to work and play in a group and to treat others as they would like to be treated. Each child will be encouraged to proceed at his/her own rate to be creative, thoughtful, responsible citizens. Students will be capable of doing new things and creating new ideas as well. A variety of experiences will allow your child to develop by:

  • Developing security, a feeling of success, self control and a positive self-concept
  • Establishing relationships with children in a group setting and to grow in independence.
  • Providing opportunities to expand vocabulary and communication skills
  • Fostering creativity and providing opportunities to develop self-expression
  • Encouraging concept development, reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Developing an interest and joy in learning new concepts and skills
