Prayer Shawl

Working and Praying for Others

\\\"\\\"

One active ministry here at Striplin Terrace is extremely prolific. A group of women, sometimes just a couple, sometimes a roomful, meets Wednesdays at 10 am in the Fellowship Class room to knit and crochet for others who may be ill or shut-in, for newborns, and for those who just may need to be reminded that we love them. Each stitch is done with love, care, and prayer for the recipient. Since Faye L. organized the group in January of 2009, hundreds of items have been made and distributed with love. Some stay within our extended church family, some are mailed to loved ones far away, some are sent to the Navajos through Charles Dennis Ministries. All are blessed with Christian love and prayer. If you know someone who would benefit from one of our shawls, just let us know! If you would like to join the group, please come! If you can\\\’t come on Wednesdays, but want to make shawls, please do. We even have a \\\”member\\\” who lives in England and sends us her beautiful handiwork!.

If you know of anyone that could benefit from one of our lovely shawls. Please contact the office. (We have shawls suitable for both male and female.)
